I know, just because our culture thinks of not having electricity/the wheel/reinforced concrete/etc. as an impediment; but those groups didn't even have concepts of such things, so why would they impede them? You may sit there and say, "I can't build a building without X, Y, and Z," but they just said, "Let's build a building."

It might not be the technical term, but most of the negative thinking groups do have -ism on them, like racism, sexism, etc... so close enough! XD
